Braid 1-Mohawk Dutch Braid is one of my favorite hairstyles … and has made so many different versions of this look, including:
Braid 9 – Dutch Braid and Double Bun
Dutch braided browband
Braid 3 – Double Dutch braids and buns
Braid 1 – Mini Sideswept Dutch Braid
and even made it a feature image for my Braid video.
I just can not get enough! I love Dutch braids so much that they will have serious repeats in my repertoire again and again. I thought it was high time for me to show you one of my favorite versions, this Mohawk Dutch Braid, which I recently wore in my Outfit Post, Polka Dot Dress Look 2!
Follow these steps to get the look or jump to the video tutorial!
Step 1 / Start by brushing all the hair directly back.
Step 2 / Next divide a section of hair, directly on the forehead, from corner to corner.
Step 3 / Then take a strand directly behind this piece, which is half size, on the left side.
Step 3 / Now take another strand right behind this piece, half the size on the right.
Step 4 / Cross the strand on the left below the large center line.
Step 5 / Next, cross the strand on the right below the middle strand.
Step 6 / Cross the left strand under the middle and bring in a hair section.
Step 7 / Cross the right strand under the middle and bring along a strand of hair that will bend the braid slightly off-center.
Step 8 / Braid the braid so that it does not stay centered and curl around the ear and left neck.
Step 9 / Once the braid has reached the neck, fill it in a normal braid so that it lies over the left shoulder.
Step 10 / Bind the braid with an elastic band.
