Braid 16-Fancy French Braid is the perfect hairstyle for every day. French braids are so classic and I love that they never go out of fashion.
If you’re new to braiding and want to watch a detailed tutorial, watch the tutorial “How to Weave”.
Growing up, my mother would always braid my hair. I was too young for curling irons, and if we had not used curlers the night before, it was always a braid. I love braids as a result and they are my favorite way to style my hair when I do without any hot tools.
This is a nice way to imagine the traditional French braid. It has a nice twist on the top and pretty pink ribbons added to add a bit of dimension and definitely gives it a touch of fresh (h) air.
Follow these steps to get this fancy French braid:
Step 1 / Brush the top of the hair back for a smooth look.
Step 2 / Separate the hair from the top of the ears to the back of the head.
Step 3 / Split this section in half; left and right.
Step 4 / Next, cross the left strand over the right strand.
Step 5 / Cross over again to make a turn.
Step 6 / Take a hairpin and slide it over the right strand to secure it to the back of the head.
Step 7 / Now take a hair part directly under the rotation at the back of the head.
Step 8 / Make a stitch of a braid and then start pulling hair from the sides to get a French braid.
Step 9 / Once the braid reaches the neck, tie off the hair with a clear rubber band.
Step 10 / Now complete two more stitches of a braid and tie the hair back with a rubber band.
Step 11 / Take your favorite band and tie a bow over each transparent rubber band.
Step 12 / Finish with hairspray and you’re ready for whatever the day holds.
Remember, today has always the potential to be better than yesterday.
