HairStyle Fix

Mara Hoffman's Desert Braid Tutorial

This hairstyle is inspired by the beautiful braid from the Mara Hoffman Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week 2014. It’s in three steps with the complicated braid then the side pieces wrapped over the hair band.

I took some of the space with the actual braid part of this hairstyle by taking small pieces of other strands, inserting them and crossing them over one another rather than simply braiding the hair into a single braid. There is really no pattern of how it was done, but if one strand was thicker than the others, I simply divided it and crossed only half over or under the middle. Watch the video below to see exactly what I mean, but try it out and play around with your own braids. It can be done in a million different ways and still be shabby chic in the end.
