Two Dutch Braids 6 Hairstyles

Two Dutch Braids – 6 Hairstyles offers unique opportunities to style two Dutch braids.

Dutch braids are my absolute favorite because they are easy to do and always look so smart! With the summer here and my “no heat” challenge in full swing, every day I put on my hat and worked on many new ideas for hairstyles.

Since wearing Dutch braids is one of my favorite pieces, I thought it would be fun to share six ways in which I wore the two braids!

If you do not feel the steps, there is a video tutorial at the bottom, yay!

Look 1: Two Dutch pigtails in ponytail

Step 1 / Start by sharing the hair; a side panel or center section works well for this look.

Step 2 / Split the hair into two sections by drawing a line over the back of the head.

Step 3 / Tie off the right side so it does not tangle with the left side.

Step 4 / Take a hair piece on the left side at the front of the head and divide it into three sections.

Step 5 / Cross the side strands under the middle and pull in the hair.

Step 6 / Tie off the braid when it reaches the back of the head.

Step 7 / Repeat steps 4 to 6 with the right side.

Step 8 / Make a ponytail with the hair left over in the middle of the back of the head.

Step 2 / Take a strand of hair from the top of the ponytail and insert it into the hair band to form a loop.

Step 3 / Repeat step 2 with the rest of the hair and make 4 to 5 loops.

Step 4 / Tighten the loops by grasping the center of the bun and pulling in opposite directions.

Look 5: Two Dutch braids halfway up

Step 1 / Perform steps 1 to 3 from Look 1 above.

Step 2 / Take a strand of hair from the left side and create three pieces.

Step 3 / Start with a Dutch braid that wraps each side strand under the center piece.

Step 4 / When pulling on the hair at the bottom, hold the strands as close as possible to the mesh so they are not visible underneath.

Step 5 / Bind the braid as soon as it reaches the back of the head.

Step 6 / Repeat steps 2 to 4 above with the right side.

Step 7 / When the right side braid reaches the left side braid, remove the hair tie and braid the pieces together into a single braid.

Step 8 / Tie off the end with an elastic band.

Step 9 / Carefully pull on the sides of the braid to make it bigger; This hides the lower part where the hair was pulled.

Step 4 / Create a braid section on the right, at the top next to the part.

Step 5 / Pass the braid over the top of the forehead, down to the right ear and over the back of the head to the other braid.

Step 6 / When the right braid reaches to the left, braid the two braids into a side braid.
